One year ago today, on the 21st of May, 2011, my grandmother on my father’s side took her last breath. She was 83 years old.
In honor of her, because she loved the song, I give you “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond.
RIP Grandma Carrie
Look for a written piece about this and related things later this week.

Despite the fact that the band was created for television, I still loved The Monkees and watched all the repeats when I was a kid.
Davy Jones was my favorite back then, and hearing about his death today does have me a little sad. In honor of him, here is the classic video for “Daydream Believer”.
RIP Davy. Miss you already…
Erica Palan at Mental Floss had compiled all these wonderful video clips in honor of Clarence’s 69th birthday back in January. Mental Floss has re-posted them in memory. What a wonderful tribute!
Clarence was best known as the saxophone player in Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. He suffered a stroke on the 12th but, unfortunately, died from complications just mere hours ago.
His website is currently at exceeded bandwidth so I cannot view it, but the news networks have reported that there is a beautiful message in memory of him. http://www.clarenceclemons.com/
RIP Clarence Anicholas Clemons, Jr. (January 11, 1942 – June 18, 2011)
You are already missed.
It’s October 31st, R.I.P. James and Lily Potter.
